Gordon Larsen is a veteran policy advisor with two decades of experience in state and federal government and in both legislative and executive branches. Most recently, Gordon was the Senior Advisor for Federal Affairs to Utah Governor Spencer Cox, managing Utah’s interests before Congress, the White House, and federal agencies, and serving as the liaison to other governors’ offices. In that capacity, Gordon managed Governor Cox’s chairmanship of the National Governors Association, his role as vice chair of the Western Governors Association, and his membership on the Council of Governors. Gordon also served as the Director of Policy and Federal Affairs for Governor Gary Herbert. Prior to working for Utah governors, Gordon was a Legislative Director in the U.S. House of Representatives and managed congressional affairs at the U.S. Agency for Global Media.
Gordon is a 2020 recipient of the Council of State Governments Twenty Under Forty Leadership Award and a 2023 recipient of the Governor’s Award for Excellence in Public Service.
Gordon attended Brigham Young University and holds JD and MBA degrees from the College of William and Mary. He and his wife have five children and live in Utah.
