Our Mission

50 State provides issue advocacy, public affairs strategy, and government relations to those who do business with, or are regulated by, state government. As the only bipartisan firm with reach into all 50 states, we bring a comprehensive perspective to issue management, advocacy, and relationship development. We create and execute a 50-state strategy regardless of state party leadership to help our clients achieve their goals.

Our History

50 State was founded in 2014 by Phil Cox and Colm O’Comartun. Phil was the Executive Director at the Republican Governors Association (RGA) and Colm was the Executive Director at the Democratic Governors Association (DGA) from 2010-2014.

After serving at both committees for 4 years, Phil and Colm saw a need for a state-focused, bipartisan government affairs firm with reach across the country to effectively navigate multi-state initiatives.
